Morning. Lovely weather 🌦️, exciting tennis 🎾, and great football ⚽️

I’m in an emoji mood. A personal non-AI message. They’re getting a little boring. Opening paragraph. Single dramatic short sentence. Perhaps a few more sentences and then short sentence followed by another thought provoking sentence. You know the type.
So in the middle of all this fantastic time of year, I’ve been giving my digital platforms a bit of a rebuild. There’s a lot of choice now for taking your hobbies or digital indulgences into new directions. Codex is mine for now.
I’ve tried it out with many challenges. When I was at Lloyds Bank a few moons ago, I was PM of their Money Manager App delivery. Big Oracle database archives and fast processing for categorising and displaying how your money is spent.
With Codex, I created my own. (Hmm, was that a dramatic short sentence?).
Another project, was to look at corporate Cybersecurity posture to support relationship management with clients. I’ve created my own.
I’m obsessed with getting things done, so I created my own Microsoft ToDo with the tweaks I wanted.
I used to use an automated social media poster before they became expensive. Hootsuite, Buffer etc. Yep, you guessed it. Got my own.
Then I set about my social platforms for yachts, film, theatre. They’ve been running for years with hundreds of thousands of regular visitors.
I removed all the code that wasn’t mine, built my own themes, plugins from partner management, client tracking, focussed statistics, importing subscribers, automated weekly newsletters. Three new digital magazines mirroring the best in the business (but without tacky ads) was next. Surveys, links to social media, short reels and videos integrated from YouTube.
And I’ve only just begun. (Another dramatic short sentence).
So….. have a look. Lomond Logic is the one for the techs out there, Lomond Insider is the aspirational one and for those wealthier than most of us, shopping for luxury assets. UKFilm / UKTheatre for your entertainment.
At Lloyd’s, being PM for their digital banking launch – one core infrastructure and code base for Halifax, TSB, Bank Of Scotland and Lloyd’s brands – was the inspiration.
Be careful, each article will take you down a rabbit hole and into the digital universe behind the magazines. Have fun.
